It was established in 2007 to provide language training to all individuals and groups interested in learning mission critical languages and cultures. CLC prides itself in the excellent qualifications and renowned experience of its instructors, and in the rich, diverse backgrounds of its students. We are proud to have the most experienced and talented instructors to help students improve their language proficiency in addition to a friendly and conducive learning environment.
B. Class Times
Classes run Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
C. Class Duration
Classes usually run in 12-week increments and meet for as many days/hours a week as specified by the student or company.
D. Testing
Students with previous knowledge of a language are expected to sit for a placement exam after registration.
Periodic achievement and proficiency tests will be administered to rate student progress.
E. Instructor Eligibility and Appointments
Instructors must satisfy all federal employment eligibility requirements.
Instructors must complete Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) in person in order to receive payment.
Appointments are part-time and temporary in nature and are usually made in 12-week increments. An instructor may be considered for reappointment in accordance with existing policy on an “as needed” basis, dependent upon a successful performance rating.
CLC reserves the right to reschedule or reassign the teaching responsibilities for appointments, or to cancel appointments in the event of insufficient enrollment or the instructor not meeting student expectations.
F. Required Experience
CLC requires that all instructors hold credentials appropriate to the level and subject matter they are teaching, and that the institution verify those credentials.
G. Benefits
CLC does not offer fringe benefits such as overtime, compensatory time, annual leave, holiday leave, and sick leave.
H. Student Registration and Tuition
Registration is dependent upon the enrollment of a sufficient number of students.
A non-refundable registration fee will be charged during the application process.
Tuition is payable prior to the commencement of class unless arrangements have been made for billing the sponsor, or unless the student is enrolled under an existing contract.
A student who has not yet begun training may withdraw from a course within 72 hours, commencing from the date of signing the agreement, and receive a full refund of all tuition paid. The 72-hour period does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays unless there are scheduled classes on those days.
I. Withdrawals
If a student begins training and withdraws prior to completion of 60% of the scheduled program, CLC will refund a prorated amount minus a $100.00 withdrawal fee.
Any portion of a week’s attendance is counted as a full week.
No refund is made after completion of 60% of the course.
In no case will CLC honor a refund request after a course has ended.
The student must complete a student withdrawal form available from the school’s registrar to initiate a request for a refund.
Refunds will be issued within ten (10) business days.
J. Class Cancellation
A student enrolled in a private class may cancel or delay the scheduled start date of a class without financial penalty if at least 24 hours of notice is given.
If less than 24 hours of notice is given, the student will pay in full for the canceled hours.
When less than 24 hours of notice is given and there is more than one hour of class scheduled on the day of the cancellation, all of the hours will be considered as canceled and the student will pay for all canceled hours.
Cancellation must be made by telephone or in person with the school’s administrative office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
A courtesy cancellation made directly with the instructor by any method is not considered an official cancellation.
Group and semi-private classes continue as scheduled even if a student is absent from the class.
An individual student who does not attend a class will not be able to make up the missed hours even if 24 hours of notice is given.
CLC reserves the right to cancel any group classes which do not meet the minimal enrollment requirement. In this case, the application fee, tuition, and materials costs will be refunded in full.
Having a commitment to provide the best possible training to its students, CLC guarantees a valuable and memorable experience.
